SUPERIOR - Gas station employees and police are on high alert after several recent armed robberies in the Twin Ports, and some of the victims are speaking out."I don't know if there's a way to prepare anybody, you just have to know that it could happen," said Ashley Cheselski, with President's One Stop, one of the gas stations recently robbed at gunpoint. Two men described as being between 5'10" and 6'3", with heavy set builds, have robbed six gas stations since August."The investigation is ongoing, leads and strategies are being deployed but at this point, no one is in custody," said Deputy Chief Nicholas Alexander with the Superior Police Department.Police are cautioning all Twin Ports gas stations and 24-hour operations."Pay particular caution to the times when the store is empty because these robbers have struck every time that no one else has been in the store," said Alexander.Police don't want anybody to be a hero."We've made it very clear to the employees that their safety is the most important thing. They should be cooperative with the robbers. The store, merchandise, money, none of that is worth any harm to them," said Alexander."Treat them like your best friend. That's what you're trained to do. That's what's in the pamphlet that you read," said Cheselski."Obviously we are going to learn from this and not keep money here," said Cheselski.  "Well when you work at a gas station there's a possibility somebody's going to come in here and steal something from you.".Until the suspects are caught, police are urging employees to "be observant." Perhaps they'll see something that somebody hasn't seen in one of these previous incidents," said Alexander.
