Superior Councilor Mike Herrick Makes Bid For Mayor

SUPERIOR - The number of candidates running for Superior's mayoral seat is growing.

The latest candidate to make an announcement is long-time Superior city councilor Mike Herrick.

He's been on the job for six years and says he's ready to listen and take charge.

"If I'm going to do it, now is the time. I still have energy, I still have that desire and I still want to accomplish the good for the city," Herrick said.

The 2015 race includes current Mayor Bruce Hagen, former city councilor Gret Metzig and Douglas County Board Supervisor Jim Paine.
