Already-Soaked Hayward Warned About More Rain

HAYWARD - While people in Hayward are still picking up the pieces from last week’s nasty storms, forecasts showed Tuesday that the potential for heavy rain is on the way again.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service are predicting an additional 3 inches of rain for the Hayward area on Wednesday.

"There was already some flooding in the Hayward area earlier this week,” said Mike Stewart from Duluth’s National Weather Service. “We're very concerned about that with the heavier rain coming in because a lot of that ground is going to be saturated."

Experts are warning those living in the Hayward area to keep their eye on rising rivers and creeks, and to seek shelter if needed.
