DULUTH - The National Weather Service has issued a gale warning for Lake Superior.
By Wednesday afternoon, meteorologists expect wind gusts to reach 50 miles per hour, which could cause waves to reach around 10 feet high along the shore.
"It's going to be all along north and south shore,” said Mike Stewart from Duluth’s National Weather Service. “The whole stretch from Grand Portage around Duluth to Saxon Harbor; It's just going to be bad with five to seven-eight foot waves."
Experts say homes near the water shouldn't be affected, but there may be some damage done to the beaches.
