Spicy Juicy Lucy
1 fresh jalapeno
1 sweet onion
2 slices peper jack cheese
Thick cut bacon
½ pound of hamburger meat 80/20 (20 % fat)
2 fresh buns Butter
First before you start cooking your burger, toast buns with butter and cook on pan for 5 minutes. Then take ½ pound of burger and split in half. You should have two ¼ pound patties. Flatten both patties to 1/8 of an inch thick. Chop and dice jalapeno and onion. Take small handful of jalapenos and onions and pepper jack cheese and place in the center of one patty. Place 2nd patty on top of the other patty and press together the edges of the patties to create one patty. It is important to make sure patties are crimped well so juices don’t flow out of the burger. On a pan with oil cook on medium heat for 7 minutes a side. Place bacon and extra cheese on top of the burger!!!
