DULUTH - Congressman Rick Nolan publicly urged President Obama Friday in Duluth to keep American troops out of the war in Syria.

This comes after two Minnesotans died after leaving the state to fight with the terror group Isis.

Nolan says before the President makes any decision he should get approval from congress.

He also says the United States has no business getting involved in the war in Syria, and if our troops are sent over, America will become the target.

"There is no American military solution to this conflict,” said Nolan. “It has to be resolved by the people in the Middle East."

The president says he wants to do everything he can to avoid sending troops into Syria.
