New Superior Hotel Moves Closer To Development

SUPERIOR - Plans moved forward Tuesday for a new Hampton Inn and Suites on the waterfront in Superior.
The council unanimously approved the land boundaries for the hotel, which is between Perkins and the Bong Museum on Highway 2.
City Councilor Tom Fennessey said the next step is to create a tax increment financial district.
He says ZMC Hotels hopes to start some work on the site this fall.
