SUPERIOR- Saturday was the first day of training for a group of returning champs.
Last year, the UWS men's soccer team won the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship for the first time in the schools' history.
Saturday, about two dozen players trying out to play for the winning team.
Head coach, Joe Mooney said, "I think it raises the expectation, absolutely, especially for the guys here. They know what it meant last year and how it felt and they want to feel that again. And they've certainly been working hard in the off season to try to repeat."
Twenty players are returning to the team this year and 10 are Seniors.
The team is hoping to find a repeat win this year.
The first home game for the Yellow Jackets is September 9th and the players say they'd love to see a packed stadium.
