Ashland Mayor Will Not Seek Re-Election

ASHLAND - Ashland's mayor has announced via Facebook he will not seek re-election.

Mayor Bill Whalen has been in office for four years.

While representing the city he took the lead on banning synthetic drugs and developed plans to re-purpose the ore dock as a tourist attraction.

Mayor Whalen says it's been a pleasure serving Ashland and thanks the community for the opportunity.
