One Fatality In Maple Car Crash

PRESS RELEASE- One person was killed in an early morning crash on USH 2 in the Town of Maple.
The crash was reported at 5:14am on Saturday 8-16-2014 at USH 2 near the Olson Rd.
An eastbound Ford Focus driven by a 43 year old Ashland man crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound logging truck head-on.
The logging truck was being operated by a 51 yr old Maple man.
The passenger in the Ford Focus, a 19 yr old female from Ashland was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 29 yr old female passenger in the logging truck was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.
Neither driver reported any injuries.
