CLOQUET - Northlanders are filling out their ballots and walking around with their "I Voted" stickers on. The primary election kicked with people casting their vote for a number of races.
Up to 15% of voters are expected to hit the polls.
"I think that the people who show up are serious about voting and see it as a patriotic duty or a duty as a good citizen," Cloquet City Hall Head Election Judge John Cavanaugh said.
Election officials believe the low voter turnout has to do with people wanting to spend their time doing something else while the weather is nice.
