Aid flows into western Africa from all over the world in an attempt to curb the outbreak of Ebola. On Monday, a shipment arrived from China, including medical supplies and protective suits. The World Health Organization has declared the virus an international health emergency, and says this outbreak has killed more than 950 people. But some aid workers say those numbers don't even accurately represent the full extent of the problem."There's deaths in villages, deaths all over the country which aren't being recorded because the data collection is not as good as it should be. And also, it's the potential of the spread," said Cokie Van Der Velde, an aid worker. The virus has already spread to Nigeria, Africa's most populous country.Nigeria's health minister says there are now ten confirmed cases of Ebola, and two fatalities."Nigeria is actually as of now reaching out to laboratories, reaching out to various governments including the U.S. state governments," said Onyebuchi Chukwu, Nigeria's health minister. Meanwhile, countries around the world are developing plans and isolation areas to deal with any potential cases."We have the means, we have some structures, if it would start, we could contain this outbreak pretty fast," said Florian Steiner, a doctor for tropical diseases. The two American missionaries who were infected with the Ebola virus in Liberia are receiving treatment at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Their condition is said to be improving. Another group of American missionaries returning to Charlotte, North Carolina will spend the remainder of their cautionary quarantine period, living in the RV's on the campus of the non-profit for which they worked.
