78 Yr. Old Found Dead After Fire in Northome

NORTHOME - A 78 year old man has been found dead inside a home after a fire in northern Minnesota.

Authorities were called to a home at 12275 1st Street in Northome around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning.

When they got there the home was engulfed in flames.

Inside they found Edward Thompson dead.

The Koochiching County Sheriff's Office says they do not know the cause of his death or of the fire yet and are investigating.
