Duluth Man Charged With Burglarizing Home

DULUTH – A Duluth man is facing seven charges after he burglarized a home, according to police.
The burglary happened in the 1600 block of East 6th Street just before 5 a.m. Saturday.
A 28-year-old female resident of the home saw someone walk out of a bedroom and out the back door carrying a carpet shampooer, said police.
The woman's 29-year-old husband found the suspect at 15th Avenue East and 5th Street riding a bike which was stolen from his basement.
Police then arrested the suspect, Jason Arndt, 34, and determined he also stole items during a vehicle prowl that happened in the 1800 block of East 6th Street.
Ardnt was brought to the Saint Louis County Jail and was formally charged for 1st Degree Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, Gross Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Property, Terroristic Threats, Obstructing Legal Process With Out Force, Tamper with a Motor Vehicle and Misdemeanor Theft.
