Northland Families Visit Thomas the Tank

DULUTH - A famous, friendly train has made his way to Duluth.
Rides on Thomas the Tank Engine started up this weekend at the Depot.
It's busiest and biggest event of the year for the North Shore Scenic Railroad.
More than 16,000 people saw Thomas last year and they're expecting even more this year.
There was all kinds of fun stuff to do like playing at sand tables, riding an inflatable slide, face painting and a children's foam party.
"Thomas starts as an entertainment piece but it's also incredibly educational. Kids learn what different kinds of engines there are and all kinds of stuff," said Josh Miller, Station Master for North Shore Scenic Railroad.
Thomas the Tank will be here the rest of the weekend and next weekend.
Organizers reccomend buying tickets early because the trains fill up fast.
You can buy tickets at their website.
