DULUTH - Animals were loose at the zoo Saturday for a special run.
Northlanders dressed up as their favorite animals to raise money for the Lake Superior Zoo and enjoy a day of fun.
The 5K gave families a chance to run wild through the zoo and enjoy a band, snow cones and more.
"It gets the kids involved and interested in exercise and being healthy and we get to come out and support the zoo, and all the money goes to a great cause and the zoo has great programs, so I like to be here for them," said Kate McCloud, a runner in the 5K.
Awards were given for the top three runners and walkers and the three best animal costumes.
