New Iron Range Walmart Gets Ready to Open

MT. IRON - Some Iron Rangers will no longer have to go all the way to Hibbing or Cloquet to shop at a certain big box store. Crews are stocking shelves and organizing merchandise for Mountain Iron's new Walmart.

The 186,000 square foot supercenter, located on Highway 169, will sell groceries, electronics, clothes and more.

The new retailer also created 250 jobs.

"Real excited about the work ethic that people have on the Iron Range,” Mt. Iron Walmart Store Manager Steven Stein said. “When we hired these associates they just been working really hard and it just goes to show the type of community that we have here."

Walmart will open August 13th.
