SUPERIOR - The Tower Avenue grand re–opening festival brought out hundreds of people to tour and enjoy the newly renovated strip.
Performances, entertainment, games, great food and vendors were all part of the fun.
Locals say the multimillion dollar street makeover is reminiscent to what they remember downtown looking like decades ago.
"Everybody that worked together on this project they did such an excellent job, it's just absolutely a gorgeous downtown now,” North Tower Festival Co-chair Jan O’Brien said. “It's got that old downtown vibe to it again that Superior used to have years and years ago.""It's more decorative, I like the tress in the middle, I think it slows traffic down,” said Trac Rasmus. “The benches places to sit it looks nicer it looks more friendly and inviting."
Since its facelift several businesses have moved into Superior's downtown and on Tower Avenue.
Officials say even more are coming.
