DULUTH - After months of struggle, a new dog park is coming to Duluth, but with a catch.

It was decided a couple weeks ago to have the location at Observation Park, and it will be put together by volunteers.

Dog lovers are getting into action early and will be removing trees, weeds and shrubs Saturday and Sunday.

"This is gonna open up a dog park for people more in Central Duluth that don't have to drive. There's a lot more people who will be able to walk to the park and we're also taking a park area that hasn't been used in over 10 years," said dog parks advocate Denette Lynch.

They'll be on 3rd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues West from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
