Palace Bar Works to Reopen After Roof Collapse

SUPERIOR - The Palace Bar is one step closer to opening its doors, and serving up cold drinks.

The bar's roof collapsed in June and has been under construction ever since.

The steel footings are now in and finishing touches are getting done on the roof.

“The weather has definitely not been our friend,” said vice-president of Anderson Hammack Construction, Terry Hammack. “So it's caused a lot of significant delays.”

Next week, contractors will work on the electricity, plumbing, and finish up the walls.

The construction company hopes to reopen the bar in mid-February.
