SUPERIOR - Kwik Trip, A Dozen Excuses and The Hampton Inn are just a few new businesses soon opening up in Superior.
Food, retail, hotel and auto industry businesses are popping up all over town.
Officials believe the city is catching the eye of a lot of entrepreneurs because it's easier than Minnesota to open up a business there, has a great workforce and the recent investments in the towns streets and infrastructure.
"All this other development it just spurs more traffic, more interest, more people wanting to do things,” Superior-Douglas County Chamber President Dave Minor said. “That's why you start attracting more and more because people see that excitement, they want to be part of that."
"The possibilities here are really endless,” A Dozen Excuses owner Melissa Hyatt said. “I think we're bringing back a feel of the old downtown. People are excited."
Superior is also working on offering more housing.
Projects providing homes and apartments for seniors, college students and young adults are all in the works.
City officials also tell FOX 21 there are even more businesses looking to open up in downtown and on Tower Avenue.
Of course, they're being tight lipped about which ones.
