Cancer Survivors Honored at Dinner

SUPERIOR - Cancer survivors in Douglas County got together Thursday to show their support for one another.
It was all part of the Relay for Life Survivor Dinner through the American Cancer Society.
Dozens of guests were honored with a dinner, personal stories from two survivors and a night of fun.
"I'm hoping that these survivors take back that they found somebody that maybe has the same cancer that they are battling with or did battle with and they can learn from each other and can learn what the American Cancer Society can do and provide for them," said Brooke Johnstad, the event's organizer.
FOX 21 Chief Meteorologist Jason Sydejko was the event's emcee.
Superior's Relay for Life kicks off Friday at Wessman Arena at 6 p.m.
FOX 21's Diane Alexander will be the event's emcee.
