A Michigan girl who was mauled by a pet raccoon as a baby has a new ear growing on her arm.
Charlotte Ponce is now 12 years old.
But when she was young, the animal attacked much of her face and took her ear.
So far, she's had her nose, cheeks and lips rebuilt.
A plastic surgeon shaped her new ear with cartilage from her ribs and then implanted it on her arm to help the skin grow.
This week the doctor will take the ear out of Charlotte's arm and put it in the right spot.
The procedure is expected to take up to eight hours.

Your lower back pain may have nothing to do with the weather.
Researchers looked at weather conditions once the pain started as well as one week and one month before it began and found no connection.
High wind speeds and gusts seem to slightly increase the risk of low back pain, but not to a clinically significant degree.
Previous studies have suggested certain weather conditions are linked to worsening symptoms in people with chronic pain.

Too much Twitter may be bad for your relationship.
To measure its effect, researchers created a 20 question online survey and tweeted it out to more than three million users.
Nearly 600 completed the survey.
On average, people said they used Twitter about 52 minutes a day five days a week.
They found increased Twitter use was associated with high amounts of conflict over that use and that led to cheating or failure of the relationship.
