Beargrease Officials More Than Happy With December Snowfall

DULUTH - All the snow is giving mushers great ground to train on.

Officials with the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon are more than happy with the amount of snow that's fallen in Duluth and the North Shore.

"We are thrilled,” explained Beargrease president, Jason Rice. “We're in really good shape, the trails are looking good. People who have been out on the trails are reporting that everything is looking really nicely packed."

The race kicks off one month from Thursday between East High School and Ordean Stadium.

The Beargrease is still looking for additional volunteers.
