House Fire at 420 N. 80th N Ave. W Causes 20k In Damage

PRESS RELEASE- Just after 3:00 this afternoon, the Duluth Fire Department responded to report of an oven on fire at 420 N. 80th Ave W.

Upon arrival a two story single family dwelling was found with a working fire in the kitchen.

There were two occupants who had evacuated to safety.

Firefighters knocked down the fire quickly, containing the fire damage to the kitchen area.

Crews overhauled and assisted occupants with securing personal belongings.

Damages are estimated at $20,000, and there were no injuries.

The cause is determined to be from a grease fire on the electric range.
