DULUTH- A new invention could help keep bikers safe.
Since Duluth is such a bike friendly city, cyclists may want to pay close attention.
A former google employee recently created the "Zackees" gloves.
The gloves are equipped with light up LED turn signal.
The creator said cars don't always see hand signals and these gloves, make cyclist more visible and make turning more obvious.
The gloves can also be used by skate boarders.
Bikers in town said they think the gloves would make a good addition to safety gear.
Biker, Cheryl Larson said, "we usually bike on a trail so I don't think it would be necessary there but I suppose if you're commuting to work or something, biking on busy roads I could see how that would be helpful.
Biker, David Schunk said, "seems like they're pretty bright, so that would get people's attention at night. That's one thing, as a biker, it's a little nerve racking when people don't see you and they get too close."
The gloves are available for pre– order and so far are only available on–line.
A pair will cost you about 75 bucks.
