Fourth Of July Holiday Kicks Off With 'Party In The Park'

DULUTH - The Fourth of July celebrations kicked off Thursday at Bayfront park with the 5th annual Party in the Park.

Food and beer vendors lined the sidewalks of Bayfront Park.  This year, the well-known classic rock cover band “Hairball” headlined the show.

Friday night, it's the fireworks that'll take center stage at 10:10 p.m.

"People really come down to see the fireworks,” said Jeff Stark, the director of Bayfront Festival Park. “People want to have an experience with their neighbors and their friends, and if we get a day like this tomorrow I think we'll be in really good shape."
