DULUTH- You've probably heard of yoga but one Twin Ports company, North Shore "Sup," is offering a special type of yoga down on the water.Kay said, "I like trying new things and I like to see if it was a good workout."Nicole said, "it's a good workout and it would be really fun to try a whole class, cause we just got a short bit of it and it was already good."Kay and Nicole tried "Sup" or stand-up paddle board yoga for the first time and they're already planning to come back for more.Kay said, "it was fun. I've never done even yoga before, but it was relaxing.Nicole said, "I was nervous at first but it was shaky at first but you get used to it."The paddle board provides an added challenge that really works the core.Owner, Heather Holmes said, "the whole time you're on the board you're balancing."The board allows for a deeper stretch."People can't wait to be on the board again. They can't wait to try different poses."While balancing on the board, you can take in the beauty of nature."It's a great way to just be outside which is totally therapeutic in itself."Even on a chilly day, the sheltered cove helps keep downward doggers comfortable."Up here we have flat water and a lot of times pretty low wind."Kay said, "once I got out there, you realize I wasn't as cold as I thought I was going to be. The water was really warm."Don't worry about falling off the paddle board, the water is warm and shallow.Holmes said, "the water really heats up quickly, right now it's 70 degrees. It's a complete sand bottom so it's actually really nice and feels great to fall in."If yoga is really not your thing, you can still have a great time just taking out a paddle board."Well right now stand-up paddle boarding in general is the fastest growing water sport in the world right now."For more information or to make a reservation go to: http://www.duluthsup.com/
