Bob Dylan Manuscript Sells For Record Amount

HIBBING - Bob Dylan's original manuscript of "Like a Rolling Stone" has shattered a record.

The manuscript sold at Sotheby's auction for $2 million breaking the $1.2 million sum paid for John Lennon's "A day in the Life."

Folks in his home town of Hibbing say they are not surprised the manuscript fetched the staggering amount.

Hibbing City Councilor, Jennifer Hoffman Saccoman said, "Absolutely. I love his music. He is such an unbelievable poet. He's done more for rock and roll and American history of music than any other musician so far."

The manuscript is written in pencil, with revisions additions, notes and doodles.
