New Wellness Center Makes Progress

CANOSIA TOWNSHIP - City and state leaders celebrated progress made on a local project promoting a healthier lifestyle. This bonding session Minnesota legislators appropriated $250,000 to start the planning process for Arrowhead Regional Health and Wellness Center.
The plan is to build the facility in Hermantown.
Which will offer Northlanders on the outskirts of Duluth nutrition and fitness programs.
"We have to bring a health and wellness center to bring our youth back into the physical shape as well as the needs for our elderly,” Arrowhead Regional Health and Wellness Center stirring committee member Scott Campbell said. “So we think that there's an actual need."
The total cost of the wellness center is expected to be about $14 million.
