Superior Kids Learn Safe Bike Riding Skills

SUPERIOR - Kids in Superior got a lesson on the rules of the road. At the third annual Bike Rodeo Superior police officers taught kids of all ages safe bike riding skills.

They learned how to start, stop, dodge things and other skills to gain better control of their bikes.

"We hope they'll remember you know having some contact with officers,” Superior Community Policing Officer Bonnie Beste said.“Helps to remember an officer told me I should always wear my helmet and be safe and this is different things I can practice on how to ride my bike better."

Kids also got safety checks on their two wheelers and registered them in case they get lost or stolen.
