VIRGINIA - A construction company is coming to Virginia, that will create more than 50 jobs. The Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board gave the city of Virginia a $350,000 grant to provide infrastructure for a new Ulland Brothers facility.

The construction company's expansion off of Hwy 53 will create 58 construction jobs and 7 permanent jobs.

Officials say the $8.9 million project is shovel ready and they hope other businesses will also open up on the plot of land.

"So that's why our infrastructure is going to the city, so it's not just for Ulland Brothers,” IRRRB Commissioner Tony Sertich said. “It's for all the other businesses that will decide like Ulland Brothers did to expand here on the Iron Range."

Construction for the project is expected to start in the coming weeks.
