Duluth School Patrol Members Celebrate End of the Year

DULUTH - It was time to hang up the flags and have some fun for patrollers from Duluth Schools.

More than 100 kids that are a part of the school patrol program throughout the city got to have some fun at adventure zone as an appreciation party Thursday.

Organizers say this year the kids really deserve it.

"They don't get paid and they work hard all year and it's not always the safest of jobs," officer Bill Stovern from the Duluth Police Department said. "It was a terrible winter, it was a long winter and in the snow and cold they did a good job."

The whole event is paid for by donations from citizens, businesses and trade unions.
