DULUTH - Authorities have released the name of a man killed in a crash off the North Shore this weekend.According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, 47-year-old Alexander Georg Obersteg was on his way to Goose Bay, Labrador when his plane went down Saturday near Brighton Beach.Authorities say the man is from Steinfeld, Germany and had departed from the Duluth International Airport and his final destination was going to be Steinfeld.Numerous items from the crash lead officials to believe Obersteg was the sole victim of the accident and owner of the single engine plane. An autopsy has ruled out any medical emergency contributing to the crash. The cause of the crash remains under investigation and the remaining wreckage will be removed in the near future.(video courtesy: St. Louis Co.
