SUPERIOR - A typical Sunday in the Northland usually involves watching the football game and drinking a few beers.

In Green Bay, police are seeing a rise in DWI's after Packer games at Lambeau Field.

Out of the ten Packer home games played this season, Green Bay police have arrested 36 fans for drunk driving. That's more than police have made in either of the previous two seasons.

“It happens all across the nation,” explained die-hard Packer fan, Dave Braman. “Not just Green Bay.”

In Wisconsin, the average number of drunken driving arrests made on Packer game days has increased.

In 2011 there were 127 arrests. This season so far there has been 131.

Packer fans cheering on the Pack in Superior are working to beat the odds, and planning ahead.

“Sober cab, a buddy of mine is here drinking pop,” said Braman. “He'll give us a ride home.”

The Packer’s last home game was Sunday.

Next week, they play their last regular season game in Chicago.
