DULUTH - Friday, people across the nation tied their shoes and buckled their helmets for national bike to work day.
Dozens of Duluth bikers, including Duluth Mayor Don Ness, geared up to ride from City Hall to Clyde Ironworks.
Duluth recently passed a 20 year bike plan that will make the city more bike friendly for commuters, and for people who do it just for fun.
"A bike commute takes only 10 more minutes but I get all the exercise that I really need for the day,” said biker Jessica Breeuwer. “It's a way to do double duty."
Bike to work day is part of the month long celebration of Bus-Bike-walk month.
