DULUTH - Tuesday night, Park Point residents met with Duluth’s Planning Commission about changes with street ends on both sides of the point.
Last month, the Park Point small-area plan was finalized with recommendations about what to do with them.
The plan is to vacate 17 street ends leading to beach access on both the lake and bay side.
“Some people want to see all of the street ends to be open, and accessible to the public,” explained director of city planning, Keith Hamre. “Some do not want to see that.”
The planning commission has formed a smaller committee to look deeper into the issue.
It will be back on the agenda in February.
