DULUTH- Congdon school kindergartners took advantage of the nice weather.
They walked to Duluth East Highschool, where they learned about the importance of gardening as part of their tomato man project.
Kindergarten volunteer, Alison Clarke said, "They're planting seeds now and they're going to come back in late May and pick up hopefully the plants."
The kids were taught the basic concepts of planting seeds, caring for them and harvesting.
Ray Picconatto started the project years ago to educate children about the importance of sustainability.
