Superior Police Notify Residents About Release of Sex Offender

SUPERIOR - Matthew R. Makowsky was convicted of 1st degree sexual assault of a child in 2001. He has been incarcerated since that time in the Wisconsin prison system.

He will be released from secure custody on April 8th 2014 and will be under the supervision of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Office.

TARGETED VICTIMS: This offender's victim was a juvenile male known to him.

SPECIAL RULES OF SUPERVISION:

1) No unsupervised contact with minors; no taverns/bars/liquor stores; no contact
with victims; not to consume alcohol or drugs.

2) Comply with standard sex offender rules: cooperate with electronic monitoring.

3) Face-to-face contact with law enforcement required; comply with all requirements and lifetime registrant of WI sex offender registration program.
