DULUTH- The Lake Superior RC club put on their 5th year of races at the motor head madness show at the DECC today.
The club started in Bemidji ten years ago and as the group picked up steam and more people joined, they expanded and have been selling out their events.
Club members say don't be fooled, it's a much more technical sport than it looks.
Race director, Joe Zaier said, "that's the million dollar question. Some people are naturals at it. Some people are good right away. I've been doing this for 26, 27 years and I'd say I'm mediocre.
The also race the radio controlled cars off–road in the summer, at the Proctor fair grounds.
The club draws participants from as far away as Montana.
