DULUTH – MnDOT cleaned up slushy streets with a new toy Friday.
The tow plow drivers used is the first of its kind in the Northland.
It's a trailer mounted plow with a built on sander that can plow two full lanes at once.
Operators say it's smooth, safe and efficient.
"With the downsizing of the department over the years, the man powers lower, the equipment lowers, so it's a tool that's helped us increase our productivity on the plow roads," said Josiah Davey with MnDOT.
MnDOT said the $90,000 dollar equipment can be intimidating so they ask you to give them plenty of space to plow.
