SUPERIOR - Community members are hoping that a little work will help keep local kids in need.
For 22 years now, the Douglas County Association for Home and Community Education has been getting together once a year to assemble quilts for children in crisis.
It is all made possible by the volunteers and fabric donations from local businesses.
"The sponsors have been really generous," Sue Hendrickson said. "They give us enough fabric for us to do up to 100 quilts a year to donate and every year the quilts get used so we keep doing it."
