Duluth Seed Library is a Success

DULUTH - Spring is almost here and if you're fired up to get into the dirt you may want to head to the Duluth Public Library. The library recently launched their seed lending program which allows locals to check out four different kinds of seeds to plant in their gardens.
Officials say so far the program has gotten a lot of great feedback.
The library was awarded a nearly $5,000 grant for their seed lending section and there is so much demand it's hard to keep them on the shelves.
"Our seed stock has gotten a little bit low, we're going to be ordering more soon,” Duluth Public Library Manager Carla Powers said. “So if you do happen to stop by in the next week or two when we're getting a little low don't panic there are more seeds on the way."
The library is also kicking off an event March 20th at 12:15 on how to deer proof you're garden.
