DULUTH - A Duluth middle school went on lockdown for about a half hour Monday morning.
The lockdown happened at Lincoln Park Middle School around 8:30 am.
Officials say it was in response to a concern from a parent whose son was angry about an incident that occurred at their house as he was leaving for school.
Police say he told her she could pick him up at jail later because he was going to bring a gun to school.
However, no specific threats were made towards any student or staff.
Police were called and found the bus the boy was on and stopped it.
They say no weapon was found.
Officers then took him to headquarters and searched his home where they found his BB gun.
The school was then taken off lockdown and the boy released to a family member.
