CLOQUET - The Cloquet School District wants to hear from residents about what to do with their aging school buildings.

District officials say their 94–year–old middle school is in desperate need of repairs.

They're looking into either upgrading the middles school for about $14 million or building a new one, which would cost about $28 million.

Before they make any decisions they want to hear from tax payers.

"We need to find every way possible to engage the public,” Cloquet Schools Superintendent Ken Scarbrough said. “Hear from them as to what they think they can afford and what they want to see from our kids moving forward."

The district also wants to hear from the public about alleviating their crowded elementary schools.

The next public meeting is set for March 31st at 7pm at the Cloquet High School cafeteria.
