DULUTH - Edgewood Vista and two of its employees have settled a civil lawsuit filed against them by a family whose mother was raped at its Hermantown facility early last year.
The settlement was reached late Monday night but details cannot be disclosed.
Lawyers representing the 89–year–old victim say it was a "satisfactory resolution for the family."
The plaintiffs were claiming that the facility's employees were not working with the victim to receive justice.
However, civil charges are still pending again 30–year–old Andrew Merzwski of Duluth.
Merzwski already admitted to the rape in criminal court and is serving a sentence of more than four years in prison.
