DULUTH - Duluth and Superior school districts have been given $20,000 from an expanding employer in the Twin Ports.
Kwik Trip signed a $10,000 check for Superior's new sports complex and another $10,000 for Duluth’s new fab-labs at Denfeld and East high schools.
Kwik Trip officials said they wanted to make their presence known before breaking ground on their first stores.
“It was a great opportunity for us to make a donation to something we think is well worth the cause,” explained Kwik Trip district leader, Layne Froehlich. “Giving back to helping youth grow in the community, that's something Kwik Trip wants to do.”
Kwik trip plans to open 20 gas stations in the next two years.
The earliest is opening this fall.
