Hunger Fundraiser Starts Sunday
DULUTH - While many Northlanders will be filling up on Super Bowl snacks, some will be raising money to help those who don't have food.
Super Bowl Sunday is the official kick off of the Hunger Takes No Holiday season.
This year it is being held at all Grizzly's locations and 7 West Tap House.
On Sunday, 15 percent of food sales will go to the cause.
Over the last five years, Hunger Takes No Holiday has raised more than $75,000.
It's tradition for the kick off to be on Ground Hog Day.
"In Ground Hog the movie with Bill Murray in it, every day he wakes up the same thing occurs again, it's the same thing with hunger. People don't have food," said Don Leighton, president of Hunger Takes No Holiday.
If you can't make it to Grizzly's this Sunday, you can still donate by sending money to P.O. Box 432 in Superior.
