DULUTH - Duluth Mayor Don Ness is asking community members to weigh in on developing a large stretch of the town.
At the West Duluth Business Club meeting Mayor Ness presented ideas for the St. Louis River Corridor as well as talk to businesses and locals about the vision for the area stretching from 59th Avenue West to Fond du Lac.
"So we wanna be able to see how this can develop into an area that's first of all responsible to the environment, it doesn't get overbuilt,” West Duluth Business Club President Charlie Stauduhar said. “Yet the residents as well as the tourists have access to all of the amenities."
Officials say they are looking into using the corridor for educational, recreational, business and residential opportunities.
