1943 Annual USO Canteen Radio Show in Superior

SUPERIOR - Most of us can only imagine what it would be like to walk into a real USO Canteen.
The Douglas County Historical Society made it real Saturday.
They hosted the 6th Annual USO Canteen Radio Show.
The DCHS History Theatre brought us back to the time of Bob Hope and his friends to honor service men and women.
"It's important because it reflects an era of our nation that we're very proud of, of a lot of heroes. And it is also a Christmas show so we can take time to remember those that we've lost, and those who continue to serve in the military," said Brita Edgerton, a volunteer for the show.
The funds raised go to the DCHS and the Northland Youth Music Program.
